Adele Graham, illustrator of most MoGho books/demonstrated her artistic talents as a small child and has utilized them in several books and for publications including Saddle & Bridle, Bluegrass Horseman, Fate, Missouri Life and Rural Missouri. Adele also has done many commissioned oil or acrylic portraits of people and pets and

she remarks that owners are invariably fussier about their pets' appearance than their own. She has sold several articles, some to publications that also bought her art. She combined both abilities to produce a newsletter for the Missouri Department of Health until her retirement in the summer of 2002.

Though Missouri born, and reared partly in Dixon, she also lived in Springfield, Willow Springs and in California state before settling in Jefferson City. Her favorite subjects are horses, and, as the story of Mau reminds us, she lives with a ghost cat.
