In addition to photos and Evp's, other evidence collected was recorded in the report as influx in Geo Magnetic fields which indicted energy fluctuations that supports spirit energy. These readings are in direct correlation to data collected by this agency and those others that utilize EMF meters and the evidence collected falls within the area identified as spirit energy present. Thermal probes and scanners indicated several drops in temperatures that were such a drastic change that no normal or realistic explanation other then the paranormal could be given. They fell within the parameters and data supporting such changes and would indeed lean toward that of the paranormal. These readings were present and noted in this investigation.

Jerome - Inn of Jerome-Jerome Cemetery
Jerome, Arizona

Investigators Synopsis

Jerome Arizona
One of Americas best preserved Ghost Towns
Founded in 1876

Known as the "Wickedest town in Arizona", Jerome was host to a Booming Mining town. Producing millions of dollars worth of Precious stones and resources. But Jerome also has a very dark and wicked past. The town reaped with Gambling, Drugs, Alcohol, Prostitution and mysterious Deaths. Some of the fatal events that doomed Jerome was a Maintenance Man (Claude Harvey) that worked at the old Hospital were found dead at the bottom of the elevator shaft in 1935, the elevator had crushed his head. The Inquest was found to be inconclusive. A terminally ill mining company superintendent shot himself and another caretaker hung himself. These are just a few of the events that marked Jerome for abounds of Ghost. Fires had leveled the main section of town 4 times; an influenza epidemic spread death among the people. With all this dark past, Jerome has survived to be "The Ghost City" and holds many shops, original buildings, 18th Century Cemetery, Restaurants, hotels and Bed & Breakfast. Now that you have some history and understanding of Jerome we will go into some of the reported haunts of Jerome. A Lady in White that is said to roam the old hospital, A Ghost of a prostitute has been seen walking the streets, The influenza epidemic is Ghostly repeated in the old hospital, A white misty figure has been seen at the old Episcopal Church, A Black Hooded Figure Phantom has been sighted near the Catholic Church, and The Inn at Jerome has reported a Ghost cat, An elderly ghost man, Voices and noises being heard when nobody is around, and objects moving around by unseen hands. It has been reported that the man will laugh at the maid and managers. The cat is also been reported by employees, guest and visitors to brush up against their legs. These are just a few of paranormal activity reported by Employees, Residents, Visitors and passer buyers.

Jerome, Arizona is built on the side of a mountain some 7,000 plus feet above sea level. It is one of a few ghost towns still standing with original buildings and it boast the historic feeling of taking a step back in time. The people are great and a person is treated well in Jerome. Although we conducted our main investigation at the "Inn of Jerome", we spent a couple of days up there to study the whole town.

The two photos on the left show what we believe to be the spirit energy of the famous cat that haunts the "Inn of Jerome". Notice the energy in the mirror and how it stands in perspective to the image of the cat on the back of Linda's shoulder and in her hair. We circled them both in red for easier viewing.
Also noted, when we entered the Inn for the first time, above our head is a shelf and our team heard what sounded like a cat clawing at a post and in one of the rooms we heard a cat meow several times. But in both instances, there were no cats visible and there are no cats within the Inn for the exception of the ghost cat.

Taken at the old church in Jerome is a spirit energy believed to be that of the black hooded phantom that is reported to roam the streets of Jerome. The second photo has been circled in red for better viewing. All natural and man made explanations have been ruled out on all these photos.

We enjoyed investigating the "Inn of Jerome" and the management was polite and very cooperative. We want to thank the management for their support in our investigation and we want to thank the people of Jerome for the hospitality and the warm welcome we received. If you are ever in Arizona, be sure to visit Jerome and don't forget to check into the "Inn of Jerome" and enjoy a night in a haunted Inn.
These are just a few of the many photographs we captured of spirit energy in Jerome.

UPDATE FROM THE INN AT JEROME AND THE JEROME GRILLE
20 NOVEMBER 2003

Memories of the Heart has been one of the more active rooms in the recent past. Guests have reported having locked the dead bolt on their room door only to awaken in the middle of the night to find it unlocked and usually open. They have reported hearing the water turning on and off in the bathroom, shoes and personal items were rearranged when they returned to the room. The window would be open and the shade pulled up when they had left
> it closed. They generally ask me if there was anyway someone could have been in their room and rearranged things or opened the window. I tell them honestly that they have a key to their room and I have a key and the extra keys are locked in the safe. On Halloween 2003, a guest who was bringing her sons to stay in the Inn asked if I would "arrange something" that would frighten them. I told her absolutely not that "staging" an occurrence would affect the Inn's authenticity and compromise the Inn's reputation. It would also place doubt on the true happenings in the building. One couple came down for breakfast and said they had gotten so scarred that they had huddled under the covers "when a cold wind blew through the room, under the covers, and blew the blankets and quilt off of them and the bed!"
One day as I was walking down the hallway in the Inn, I turned my head and saw a man standing in Pillow Talk. He was leaning against the window frame looking down into the alley between the buildings. I was aware that he was wearing work pants tucked into the top of his mid-calf high work boots, had an old felt looking hat on his head, suspenders, and was wearing a long sleeve work shirt. I couldn't tell what color his cloths were as his appearance was hazy and appeared in gray tones. The strange thing is I was upstairs in the Inn by myself, walking down the hall towards Little Daisy for some forgotten reason. I turned my head as I was walking saw him and continued walking. What I had seen did not register until after I had passed the room and I thought it was my imagination and I had simply seen a shadow or the floor lamp that is in the room had been moved and placed in front of the window. When I returned to the room a moment later to verify what I had seen, there was nothing for me to "see". The lamp was in it proper place and not in front of the window and of course there was no one in the room. I know that I saw a man looking down into the alley. Try as I might, I can not explain away what I saw. If I did not see him, why is the picture and everything about of him so clear and complete in my mind's eye?
Three tired young ladies came down for breakfast one morning excited about the happenings in the Inn the previous night. The pull chains dangling from the combination ceiling fan and light had clattered and rattled off and on during the night. They also stated that the faucet in their room had turned on and off by itself a number of times during the night. They also told us about the bed shaking, loud knocking on the door and in the room, and the strong odor of garbage in the rooms followed by the smell of roses. I hesitate to include these events in this update. Due to the fact, that I feel their experiences might be suspect. For one reason, there were three late teens early 20 year old girls. One or all of them may have been playing pranks on the others plus the fact that a number of things they told are not characteristic of the happenings that occur in the Inn. To my knowledge, there has never been a report of loud knocking, it would be very easy for one of the girls to make the bed shake, or to "poke" one of the other girls. We have had reports of the smell of roses passing through Victorian Rose and the water turning on and off in the sink.
The Inn is not the only area of the building that has "activity". Glasses have fallen off tables when no one is near. One incident that was witnessed by staff, was when a glass that was sitting on the counter slid across the counter and smashed to the floor. A cook was bending over to reach something from below the prep table in the kitchen when two plastic containers fell from the top shelf fell and hit him on the head. There was no one else in the kitchen and no reason could be found for the falling containers. I only know the cook was quite shaken by the incident.
A customer, two waitresses, and myself were discussing strange happenings in the Inn and restaurant when one waitress stated she had never had anything unusual happen to her and that she didn't believe in such things. At that moment, a sign that has been sitting on the same shelf for years fell to the floor next to us. It is a wonder none of us were hit by the sign, as we were standing close to the shelf. I have to admit we all jumped and were stunned. One morning as this skeptical waitress and the cook were sitting at the front count waiting to open the restaurant, she heard whistling in the bar. She asked Jose if he had heard whistling and what was it? He replied yes, that it was the ghost. Needless to say, she now believes "something" unusual is going on here.
When the waitresses come to work in the morning, one of the first things they do is to turn off the answering machine. On this morning, the answering machine had been turned off at 7:00 am, at 7:15 am the waitress heard the message from the machine playing in the office. When she went into the office the answering machine was on and was playing. She turned it off and again a few minutes later it began playing again. She told me she had had to turn the machine off three times before it finally stayed off. Oh, the phone did not ring during this time. No one knows what activated the answering machine or turned it on.
Another waitress was in the restaurant rest room, when she heard a female voice singing followed by a loud bang. She assumed the cook had the radio on to loudly. However, when she left the rest room she realized the radio was not playing and the cook had not heard the singing or the bang. The Clinkscale building was built with reinforced poured concrete walls, which are 18 inches thick. Sound does not travel much.
My husband, Dennis, after proof reading this, mentioned that as he was sitting at the desk in the office, the wall calendar moved from side to side. There was no wind and no one walked past it to cause it to move.
