In addition to photos and Evp's, other evidence collected was recorded in the report as influx in Geo Magnetic fields which indicted energy fluctuations that supports spirit energy. These readings are in direct correlation to data collected by this agency and those others that utilize EMF meters and the evidence collected falls within the area identified as spirit energy present. Thermal probes and scanners indicated several drops in temperatures that were such a drastic change that no normal or realistic explanation other then the paranormal could be given. They fell within the parameters and data supporting such changes and would indeed lean toward that of the paranormal. These readings were present and noted in this investigation.

Lemp Mansion - St. Louis, Missouri

Investigators Synopsis

a_LMTitle

Another year is upon us and Mitch of Gateway Ghost Hunters Association set up this 2nd Annual Lemp Mansion Investigation. Mitch and his team members and we here at Missouri Ghost Hunters Society, have teamed up to Sponsor this annual event. We look forward to next years big investigation. Now on with the details of this exciting investigation.

At approximately 6:30 P.M. on the 24th of January 2003, Both members of Gateway Ghost Hunters and Missouri Ghost Hunters Society gathered in the side parking lot the Lemp mansion. Everyone was busy greeting one another and as they made there rounds, you could see a sense of excitement in each and everyone's face. We all have a good time when these two teams work together.
Everyone began piling there arms with luggage and bags of equipment as we all headed through the front doors. We gathered in a predetermined room to set up as our control room. This room would house the many computers and other equipment that would assist us in our investigation. Mitch began the evening with a meeting, detailing the limitations of our range of areas that are open to us. Followed by some simple guidelines to make the investigation a success. We ended with a Mitch and Brian giving some helpful tips to allow each team member a better degree of success.
Not long after, the many team members began to set out to set up there various types of equipment. Because the Lemp Mansion covers so many floors, there was an abundance of areas for everyone to cover. One of the key things that members were to do, was after each paranormal event that was witnessed, that member was to return to the control room after they had fully investigated the event and log in detail the event that took place. This provided a detailed report of the incidents of the evening. This turned out to work very well, for numerous events were recorded. We will go more into detail of some of these events a little later.

Members of Missouri Ghost Hunters Society (Left to Right: Greg, Derek and Linda) stand in one of the rooms that has had numerous reports of paranormal activity over the years. Known as the William Lemp Room. Throughout the night, Derek set up his Sony night vision video camera and managed to capture some astonishing video of orbs in motion.

As Mitch, Shawn, Brian and Linda were leaving the attic area, Mitch's EMF meter began to spike in the hallway. It stayed within an area of approximately 6 feet high and 3 feet wide. The meter fluctuate, but spike to it's fullest and a steady rate.

Shawn takes a photo toward Mitch as the EMF Meter continues to spike in the attic hallway. An orb is captured just above the hot spot that the EMF Meter was activating. We must make a note that no electricity is in that area and all man made or natural explanations have been ruled out.

Left: Shawn of Gateway Ghost Hunters Association. Right: Brian of Missouri Ghost Hunters Society sit in the Lavender Ladies room taking a break. This room yielded some very strong odors of Lavender throughout the night. At one point the odor was so strong as to linger on all the furniture.

Glendy - Missouri Ghost Hunters Society - approaches the top of the attic stairs to the room where the legend of the "Monkey Boy" was born. It is unknown if this is true and we have not seen any documentation on this, but it was reported that the Lavender Lady had a child, there was something wrong with the child and he was kept up in the attic area. He would watch the children below playing and when they would look up from the street, they would see this boy and they gave him the nick name of Monkey Boy.

Throughout the night several events unfolded of the paranormal nature. This was well documented and investigated to its fullest. Below is a list of events that were logged.

While up in the attic area, Mitch, Shaw, Brian and Linda were taking some photos, when Mitch's EMF meter began to activate. This occurred in the hallway area and measured about 3 foot in width to approximately 6 feet in height. This area was investigated for any man made or natural explanations. NOTE: No electricity was turned on or hooked up in that area. This event lasted for about 4 to 5 minutes and all known explanations were ruled out, believing that the event was paranormal in nature. Shaw and Brian took photos toward the area and captured an orb near the EMF meter each time a photo was taken and also the orb was present each time the EMF meter spiked.

Derek, Greg and Glendy were in the main floor Lavender Lady dinning area or also known as "William's Office" and while beginning to exit the room, Greg was shoved by unseen hands as if someone unseen was giving him a little shove to assist him out the door.

Greg, Glendy and Derek were in the basement dinning room when Derek saw a white misty figure standing in the arch of the doorway. This was seen out of the corner of his eye and when he turned toward the figure, it disappeared. Photographs immediately after produced an orb in the archway.

Mike of Gateway Ghost Hunters witnessed a orb come from one room and down the hallway. This orb moved immediately after someone took a photo toward the area the orb was at.

Belinda, Megan and Shawn were in the Jungle room when they announced there names and that they were entering for the EVP. Shawn walked over to the EVP and noticed it was finished and he began to turn the tape over when the Trifield Natural Meter began to activate, indicating a paranormal presence. Belinda started to take a photo toward Shawn in hopes of capturing what ever was activating the Trifield Natural Meter. Just as she began to snap the picture, her camera would not operate. She attempted several times, meanwhile the meter was still activating. The meter then quit and Belinda's camera would then and only then snap the photo.

Glendy detected a strong odor of Lavender in the basement dinning room, this occurred just after Derek had seen the white misty figure in the archway.

While Brian, Linda, Belinda, Shawn, & Megan were in the attic, Belinda took a photograph and within the flash, Belinda witnessed an outline of a man within the flash. The man appeared to be taller then Brian, who stands at 6 foot even.

There were other events that unfolded during the night. These were such things as phantom footsteps, unexplainable noises and door closing sounds.

Derek captures an orb at the piano with his Olympus D380 Digital camera. This piano has been known to play on it's own from time to time by unseen hands. However, this night, no sounds of the piano were heard. Copyright Missouri Ghost Hunters Society, All Rights Reserved.
