The photo was taken on July 21, 2002 around 9 p.m. The solar X-rays category was at X-class flare and the geomagnetic field was at unsettled. It was almost a full moon, and a disposable camera was used. My husband and I pretty much adhere to all the Standards and Protocols listed on your website for taking photos(there are, of course, ones that we can do nothing about such as using fresh batteries, since we use disposable cameras, etc.) Cheryl N

These photographs were taken at approximately 8:30 p.m. on October 27, 2002. I am sitting on the front porch of my house. These photos were taken with a digital camera. Please keep in mind that the following photographs were not altered in any way. My boyfriend wanted to photograph me next to one of our pumpkins, and "this" showed up in the picture. I have no idea what it is or what it could be. These were the conditions from when the photo was taken: It was cloudy, but there was no fog. It was particulary cool, but not cold enough to see your breath in the air. No one was smoking any cigarettes at the time. There wasn't really anything in the background to reflect that kind of light. Both photos were taken with the flash on. Karen S.
