Portal, a term not really studied until the last decade or so. But what is a portal? Many believe a portal to be a doorway, or gateway from the spirit world to our world. It is believed that spirits travel to and fro through this doorway. But with portals comes many questions that are very difficult to answer, let alone gather data to support the portal theory. Linda and I have been studying this theory and we believe that we have identified at least three such portals.
Some of the answers to this mysterious theory are indeed somewhat hard to get a hard evidence fix on, but they are very supportive in evidence. I guess the best way to explain the Portal Theory is to explain some things that are associated with portal haunts. Now this list is from data collected by numerous investigators and our own findings. Again, because we cannot physically travel in and out of these portals, everything is based on theory and there is no hard evidence to support this theory.
Signs of a Portal Haunt
- · Mysterious Mist and/or fog from the area
- · Unexplainable odd lights
- · Phantom Shadows of people in and around the suspected portal
- · Odd creatures in and around the suspected portal
- · Disembodied voices and/or footsteps
- · If standing in a suspected portal when open, one may experience a drainage of ones energy, distant voices, the inability to move on your own accord and a sense of not being aware to your immediate surroundings.
- · Clusters of Orbs traveling in and out of the portal (Mainly visible in photographs and not with the naked eye, however, some have reported seeing these orbs with the naked eye)
- · Odd and unexplainable source of odors
Now this list is events that have been recorded near suspected portal haunt locations. One you must be asking about is the Odd Creatures. Well we must ask ourselves one question first. Are souls of the once living the only spirits or beings that are using these portals? There are documented cases where investigators have seen hideous creatures coming through suspected portals. Who are these creatures and what is their origin? This is yet to be answered, all we can do is speculate on what we believe they are.
I have read documented accounts of investigators being in portals when they are suspected of being open. Linda (My Wife) of Missouri Ghost Hunters Society is one such person that has experienced the effects of these portals when open. Linda provided me with the effects of her experience and states that she felt a drainage of her energy to the point of having a decrease of motor skills, her legs felt as if they weighed a ton, therefore, not allowing her to exit the portal on her own accord. Linda described hearing many voices. Some were behind her which sounded distant and the others were those of the rest of the team that was present. But the ability to determine which was which became more and more difficult the longer she stood in this portal. Her ability to move out of the portal became greater and greater until I had to physically drag her out myself.
From this experience we can note that the longer one is in their the worse the effects of the portal become. So please use caution near or in such portals.
Some questions that we have been working on, but running into many closed doors are: Are portals stationary and always in one place? The three suspected portals that we have discovered are always in the locations that we first discovered them in. So one may think that they stay in one area, but for how long, that is to be determined. Where do you usually find portals? Well until the last 10 years or so, no investigators ever looked into investigating cemeteries. But when cemeteries became targets of investigations, these such portals were being discovered. Now are cemeteries the only place that house these portals? No, we don't think so. Many portals have been discovered while doing investigations of suspected haunted locations. Some have even identified them in closets. So we cannot limit the locations to cemeteries. They can be anywhere.
Although the Portal Theory is very hard to prove, we must say that more and more recorded data is supporting these therories and slowly giving us partial answers. But, take a word of caution! Because these portals are based on theory and the physical effects that have been recorded in or near these suspected portals carry a heavy side effect. We sugguest that you do not enter these portals and please take them very seriously, for one does not know how bad the effects become on humans. But we do know that the longer one is in there, theworse the side effects are. So please do not mess around with them unless you are a paranormal investigations unit equipped to handle such matters.
