This is only a brief synopsis of events and by no means entails an in-depth account of all activities, encounters or experiences of the paranormal or actions taken by the investigating agency. This is intended as an information report to assist those that are suffering from a haunting or ghost sighting and is for those who seek support and understanding of haunts.

We want to thank the management and employee's of the San Carlos Hotel. It is with our deepest gratitude to the management, for allowing us unlimited access to conduct our investigation and for supplying us with a very professional and knowledgeable employee, who guided us through the hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and the hotel management provided us with every resource available to make our investigation a success. We thank you for your contribution to our studies and research, which have brought us a step further to proving our theories.
The Missouri Ghost Hunters Society highly recommends this hotel as a must stay experience while you are in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Not only is there a chance to see one of the many ghosts that roam the hotel, but you can also expect, a high quality of service while you stay at this elegant historic hotel.
Before the construction of this well renowned hotel, stood a Drinking well. This well was constructed by Indians and many Indian Ceremonies were held at this well. As time moved on, the now San Carlos Hotel was erected. But before becoming a hotel, it was used as a school. During it's time as a school, the drinking well held a mystery. 3 Boys on different occasion's drowned in the well. It is unknown to the complete story of their untimely drowning. Could this be that of the spirits? I don't think we will ever know that answer. But with the construction of the well, the ceremonies that were conducted at the well, and the 3 boys drowning. This was the start to the paranormal activity that now haunts this famous historic hotel. But this is not the end to the mysteries that hold true within the doors of the San Carlos. More deaths had occurred, not to mention in the 1960's and 1970's, many seance's were held in the basement at the well.
Our investigation provided us with many Spirit Energies captured on both Digital camera and 8 mm video. Are these the spirits of the people that ran into their untimely death? Are their souls tormented to roam within the walls of this hotel? I cannot give you that answer, for I don't think anybody knows the answer to that.
Soon, the school became the San Carlos Hotel and held many Hollywood guest, such as Clark Gable, Marlyn Monroe and many more. One particular guest, "Leona Jensen", Became one of the first Deaths to occur at this building, while it was a hotel. Leona had a sad and heavy heart as she was having problems with her lover, who was a bellhop at an adjacent hotel. On December 21, 1930 Leana decided the outcome of their relationship. She dressed in a white evening gown, made her way up to the roof in front of the penthouse doors, and jumped to her death some 7 stories below to Monroe street, that now passes in front of the hotel. Leona's ghost has been sighted by many people roaming the halls of the San Carlos Hotel, still dressed in her white evening gown.
We will tell you more about the history as we start our investigation on the roof and in the penthouse.

Upon reaching the roof, we lead the way with the E.M.F. Meter. Readings were abundant, as well as the cold spots and chills. There is two location where on the roof where a life was ended by leaping 7 stories to there death. The first being Leona Jensen and the next being a unknown mental patient. Both locations on the roof to where they allegedly jumped to there death, provided excellent E.M.F. Readings and photographs. In Roof 1, the location of Leona Jensen, we capture several orbs. The same for Roof 2, the Mental patient location. The penthouse that sits upon the roof offered numerous orb photographs. We are just sharing a few of the hundreds of photos that we took at this hotel. It is very hard to explain our feelings and the things we could feel while we were in the hotel. But I can tell you, that it is very powerful and strongly present. Our evidence that we collected, along with the history, and equipment readings, supports that the San Carlos Hotel is indeed haunted and holds the ghost of many souls that lost their lives in or near the hotel.
We then moved on to the 7th floor. This being the floor that Leona Jensen stayed. We captured orbs on this floor, along with E.M.F. Meter readings that supports our photographic evidence. Our E.M.F. Meter directed us in the hallway between room 718 and room 719. The presence of spirit energy was strong and the E.M.F. Meter showed a 5.0 reading. We opened the door to room 719 and the E.M.F. Meter continued to read in the 5.0 area. Photographs show an orb in the upper right hand corner of the room. We told the employee that was with us, that maybe this could of been Leona Jensens Room. He stated that it was either this room or room 718, which was right across the hallway. It is very interesting that our equipment led us to this location and support again the orb photograph.
We made our way from floor to floor working toward the basement.
One other floor that I want to go more into depth about, was the 5th floor.
The entire floor was active with paranormal readings on our instruments. Our photographs supported these readings. We captured many orbs on the entire 5th floor. There is one particular room that was being renovated. Inside this room is a portrait of a small girl child. This portrait is said to be the cause of a few guests that have checked out of the hotel. Upon our guide opening the door, a chill swept over our entire team. Readings showed paranormal activity.
Now back to the portrait. The eyes of the portrait are different then common portraits. They are very black and noticeable. Guest and employee's have felt chills in this room. A few guest had checked out of the hotel, when they stayed in this room. The eyes of the portrait was reported by these guest to have moved and followed their every move.

We move on to each floor descending to the basement. stopping on each and every floor, taking readings and photographing. Just about each floor gave readings and Orb Photos. We get to the swimming pool level and decide to take a break. The guide tells us a story of a vagrant who jumped to his death from a near by parking garage a few years back. One of our team members goes over to the door that leads to the alley, near the spot in which the vagrant body would have landed after the fall. We captured these orbs in motion.

The Basement yielded the most Paranormal activity. Near the well and the earthen pile produced numerous orbs and equipment readings. Our Sony 8 MM night shot camcorder captured many orbs in motion. These orbs began as just a few and continued to grow in numbers. They flew around and in front of us, eventually forming a very hard to see vortex ( Like that of a whirlpool effect). They continued to form with more and more orbs. At a time when we thought this vortex would produce an apparition. Members of our team entered the basement, unknowing to the activity that was taking place. They vortex, immediately started to dwindle down. The team and the guide was able to see the ending of this activity. However, this was captured on 8 MM Camcorder and digital film.

Let me stress this is by no means all the evidence, photos, stories and history that has been collected by us. We are just giving a very brief summary of our investigation. There are a couple of hundred photos, numerous stories, a long history of events, video evidence and so much more.
