Lower Astral Plane Spirits - These spirits are believed to be those once living persons that have passed on due to sudden or violent deaths, for they are believed to classified in the lower astral plane.
Astral Body - A spiritual life force that's sometimes able to separate from and return to the corporeal, living body.
The Soul - The life force that distinguishes one person from another. It is the spiritual essence, separate and distinct from the physical body
Collective Apparition - This is more of a definition, but does play a role in classifications. It is where more then one person sees the same spirit phenomenon.
Radiant Boys - These are ghost of boys that have been murdered by their mothers. They glow in the darkness. The sighting of a radiant boy is an omen of a violent death (like his) or, in some traditions, very bad luck.
Crisis Apparition - An Out-of-Body experience in which the person projects their astral body at a time of crisis or death to some other person, usually a loved one.
Ignis Fatuous (Ghost Light) - These are ghost that seem to appear as spectral lights. According to most folklore traditions, the lights are souls of the dead.
Poltergeist - Type 1 - Non-human spirit or entity, usually more malicious and destructive then the traditional ghost. Another belief is that the Poltergeist is a series of events that appear to be that of ghost, but are generated within the depths of the mind (Repressed psycho kinetic energy) of, usually a young woman. These events are generated without the woman's awareness to what she is doing. Some common activities to poltergeist include thumping, moving objects, banging, stone-throwing and starting fires.
Type 2 - Type 2 is nothing more then the actual definition of Poltergeist, which it Noisy Ghost. So a type 2 can include constant loud noises, moving objects, etc.
Telepathic Projection - Spirits of the dead send mental messages to the living, rather then physically returning as ghost. The mortals brain interprets the received information and uses it to produce an external hallucination the resembles a ghost. This is also very similar to "Objective Apparitions" which is actual entities that appear independent of our mind, thoughts, or feelings. "Subjective Apparitions" are created by our minds (Hallucinations).
Phantom Travelers - Ghosts that haunt roadways or modes of transportation, or for some reason are bound to never ending travel.
Gray Lady - Ghost of a woman who has died at the hands of her lover or while waiting for her love to appear or come back from afar. This name comes from their appearance of being usually dressed in gray and have mournful expressions.
Positive Energy - This is the soul of a once living person that carries their personality of positive, good and caring ways with them to their after life. They continue to show these personality traits in the after life.
Negative Energy - Unlike Positive energy, these once living persons carry the Negative, uncaring and bad ways with them to their after life. They continue to show these personality traits in the after life.
