If a house was seated on some melancholy place, or built in some old romantic manner, or if any particular accident had happened in it, such as murder, sudden death or the like... That house had a mark set on it, and was afterwards esteemed the habitation of a ghost.

Never go on a Ghost Hunt or an Investigation by yourself. Always go in groups of two or more. It is preferred to go in a group of at least four. This is for your safety, not from the paranormal, but from the living. Also it is a good idea to let someone that is not in your group know where you are going and what times you will be gone and then give them a call upon your return. This will ensure you have an interested party that is not on the hunt or investigation. Lets face it, we want to investigate ghost, not become one. So please be careful out there.
Our Standards
- · Always use fresh batteries for equipment. i.e. Cameras, motion detectors, thermal meters, etc.
- · Check Equipment. Our equipment is checked before we go to a site and upon arrival to the site. We clean all camera lens, check operation of all equipment and make sure they are in proper working order.
- · Scan the area for any reflective devices that might show up on a photograph and note those areas. We try to avoid shooting in those areas, but if photographing in any of those areas took place they are noted report.
- · "No Smoking while taking photos". We do not allow smoking around the investigation. Alcohol consumption is not permitted prior to or during an investigation.
- · Respect the property that we are on. We do not horse play or disturb any property. We respect where we are. "We do not Trespass".".
- · We do not, fake or manipulate photographs to simulate a ghost or paranormal sighting. Photos that we provide are actual. After taking a photograph and spirit energy is shown. We investigate the area of the photograph and make sure nothing else could of caused the image narrowing it down to the paranormal and not man made. Our photographs that are posted have been investigated to show there trueness.
- · We investigate our photos to ensure they are not film errors, processing errors and try to compare with actual errors of type. We also share our photos with other Ghost Hunters for their inspection.
- · Our Photographs are checked in calibration to our equipment. If we have reading in our equipment at the time of the photo, they are noted in the report.
- · We are highly trained in Photography and Investigations. We take what we do serious.
- · After ruling out all man made interference's, equipment errors, film errors or processing errors. Checking calibration with equipment and investigating, only then will our photos be posted as paranormal.
- · We never photograph rain droplets, snow or dust particles and claim them to be paranormal. We will not photograph during any of these instances.
- · The Ghost Hunter, Research and Investigators reputation is very important and our goal is to maintain a positive reputation.
- · We do not take photos at Fox Fire and claim that to be of spirit energy. We check the areas in perspective to our photos for Fox Fire and we avoid taking photos in areas were Fox Fire is present.
- · Always protect and cover the lens in cold temps to prevent fogging of the lens. We cover the lens of the camera in between taking photographs.
- · We always say a prayer and ask the white light of Christ encircle us and protect us in our investigations. This is done prior to investigation and research sites.

Our Protocols
- · Make sure nothing is protruding in front of the camera lens....like a finger.
- · Make sure the lenses are cleaned and covered when not in use.
- · Make sure the weather is cooperating during photographing. Making sure it is not raining, snowing, fog, mist.
- · Hold your breath while taking a photograph in cold temps to prevent False Ecto Fog/Mist from appearing on your photographs., etc.
- · Check the camera lens for fogging of the lens during damp and heavy moisture conditions.
- · We make sure we point the camera away from reflective surfaces when using a flash. We avoid mirrors and windows in houses and bright or polished surfaces when working outdoors. Unless attempting to capture energies within these surfaces. Some energies are known to show up in mirrors and reflective surfaces. It must be noted with the photograph that the photo was taken at the surface for this purpose.
- · Avoid shooting a camera at bright lights, for they can produce orb like lights in your photograph.
- · We make sure that we either take off the camera straps or they have to be affixed around the wrist at all times, if the camera strap is photographed, it will appear to be a vortex, but easy to identify as a camera strap.
- · Take off or turn hats backwards as not to interfere with photographing and show up in the photograph as something of the paranormal.
- · Tie long hair back, so not to fall in front of the camera lens and be photographed and be mistaken as paranormal.
- · Always use an external microphone, fresh batteries and a fresh blank tape when recording E.V.P.'s.
- · Always begin each E.V.P. with the Date & Time, your name and organization with the comment of beginning E.V.P. right before you walk away from the E.V.P. If using more then one E.V.P. Mark and Identify each unit as 1, 2 or 3 and announce the units number and location during the beginning of each E.V.P. Example: 17 November 2001, 8 P.M., Brian, Missouri Ghost Hunters Society, Unit 1 positioned in bedroom number 3, Beginning E.V.P. Now This manner should be taken for both interview E.V.P.'s and unmanned E.V.P.'s.
- · Never whisper when you are around an E.V.P. Always state who you are and leave the area of the E.V.P. ASAP. If you have to enter an area of an E.V.P. then clearly state your name and the reason you are entering the E.V.P. area, then again leave ASAP.

A Word Of Warning
Please do not experiment or use Ouija Boards. It is used to communicate with spirits. However, they are known to open portals of the evil and the demonic side. You never know who you are talking to on the other side and they may and more then likely will be that of demons and evil spirits. By using this device, you could be opening a door and allowing the demons and evil spirits to enter into our world. So please take heed of this warning. Thank You Missouri Ghost Hunters Society.
